本系培育之學生，未來可從業傳統藝術、藝術創作及文化資產保存之相關專業人員工作。
無形組可透過傳統工藝之學習，未來從事古蹟之傳統木雕、彩繪、剪黏、交趾陶等藝師新作之修復工作，同時可執行傳統建築現地調查、修復記錄及文史工作等相關之工作等，有形組之未來發展不限於修復產業，還包含以個人藝術創作之發展或個人藝術工作室等。
有形組之建築修復可執行建築調查、修復、再利用與經營，透過從建築的整體知識學習，執行古蹟調查與保存工作，有別一般建築系訓練，強調古蹟管理維護知識，目的為訓練未來可協助文化資產的保存與管理，讓文化資產達到永續之概念。另，文物修護可執行科學保存修復、文物調查、文物修護等工作，透過科學檢測、調查與修護等技術，進行文物的修護，主要將文物真實性進行呈現，讓文物之價值可以彰顯。
Students nurtured in this program will be able to engage in professional job conserving cultural heritage in the future. The Architectural Preservation Division can implement architectural investigation, preservation, reuse, and management. Conducting monument investigation and conservation work by learning from the overall architectural knowledge, this Division differs from general training of architecture departments, and emphasizes the knowledge of monument management and maintenance for the purpose of training students to be able to assist in the conservation and management of cultural heritage in the future for cultural heritage to achieve sustainability. Cultural relics conservators can carry out conservation in science and restoration, cultural relics investigation, relics conservation and other tasks, which differ from the techniques of general colored drawing’s senior artisan creating new works. This Division uses scientific test, investigation, and repair techniques to carry out the conservation of cultural relics, which mainly display the authenticity of cultural relics to highlight their value.
